Express Lane

If you are someone who currently drives alone to work and is looking for another option, consider an express bus! Register for the Allston-Brighton TMA Express Lane Program and we’ll reimburse you up to $150 for the cost of your monthly pass over the course of three months when you switch from driving alone. 

Who is eligible?

Any employee or tenant of a participating Allston-Brighton TMA member company member company currently driving alone at least three days a week is eligible. Participation is also extended to commuters who switched commuting modes within the last three months. Proof of driving alone (parking pass, receipt, etc.) will be required to complete registration and proof of pass purchase will be required for each reimbursement.

How does the program work?

Participating individuals logging at least six express bus trips per week earn $50 toward their monthly fare pass each month, for a total of up to three months. Proof of pass purchase will be required for each reimbursement. Each trip you log in your GoMassCommute account earns you points toward unlocking your subsidy at the end of each month. Reimbursements apply for purchases made in the same calendar year and must be submitted by December 16, 2024.

What happens after three months?

If you continue to use a bus or private coach at the end of three months, make sure to keep logging trips on your GoMassCommute account to earn more fun prizes!

What if I need to get home unexpectedly?

Allston-Brighton TMA gives you peace of mind with the Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) program Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) program. Get sick? Have a family emergency? Blow a tire on your bike? No problem! Through GRH you receive up to six free cab rides per year.

How do I sign up?

Signing up is easy! Simply log on to your GoMassCommute account and visit the “Rewards” section on your dashboard. Follow the instructions in the "Express Lane" program and start logging your trips!
