A Better Commute

A Better Commute (formerly Workout to Work) rewards you for incorporating walking, bicycling, running, transit, or any other form of sustainable transportation into your daily routine. By logging your miles, you can win monthly raffles for gift cards, gear, and more. You'll also get invited to exclusive events and be eligible to earn points toward the Bike Check (formerly Bike Benefits) program. 

A Better Commute rewards you for incorporating sustainable transportation choices into your daily routine. Whether you have been walking for years, ride the T daily, or have not gotten on a bike since you were twelve, we have the planning tools, incentives, and rewards to get you on your way.

Who is eligible?

Any employee or tenant of an Allston-Brighton TMA member company member company who walks, bikes, or takes any form of sustainable transportation on their way to work is eligible. You don't have to walk, bike, or take transit all the way; any portion of your commute counts!

How does the program work?

Participation is simple and there is no cost to join; just the energy needed to get you on your way! Throughout the month, use the GoMassCommute mobile app for Android, mobile app for iOS, or web-based platform to track or log your sustainable commutes and become eligible for some great rewards.  

As you log your trips, you will earn points toward entries into our monthly drawing for a raffle prize. At the end of each quarter, you can redeem points for entries into our grand prize drawing.

What if I need to get home unexpectedly?

Allston-Brighton TMA gives you peace of mind with the Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) program Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) program. Get sick? Have a family emergency? Blow a tire on your bike? No problem! Through GRH you receive up to six free Uber rides per year.

How do I sign up?

Signing up is easy! Simply log on to your GoMassCommute account and enter trips from your dashboard. You can also download the CommuteTracker mobile app for Android or iOS to track your trips on the go! You'll automatically accrue points redeemable for raffle entries and other exciting incentives as you log your commutes.
