Bike Clinics
There's nothing like a free safety check to get a bike feeling brand new again. Through our flagship Bike Clinic Series, delivered in partnership with NEMO, we bring free bicycle safety checkups straight to our members during peak bicycling season. NEMO's team of mechanics sets up right at your property and supports your employees or residents by tuning up their bikes for free. Appointments are quick and easy, taking only 15-minutes. We host dozens of these events and reach hundreds of people every year, rain or shine.
Who is eligible?
Any Allston-Brighton TMA or Allston Brighton TMA member property can host a Bike Clinic, and commuters at participating locations are always welcome to stop by and get their bike checked.
What does it cost?
Bike Clinics are always free for our member tenants, employees, and commuters. For host properties, up to two clinics per year are included in your TMA membership dues at no additional cost. If your property sees enough demand for more, we can arrange additional one-off or bespoke clinics for a modest additional fee. If you are not one of our members, but would like to a host a clinic, please reach out to tma@abettercity.org to arrange one.
How can I join a bike clinic?

You should receive a Calendly sign-up link directly from your property manager, HR contact, or Employee Transportation Coordinator closer to the date. If you have any questions, please reach out to tma@abettercity.org.
How do I host one?
Send us an email and we'll help you find a date that works for your property and your people.
Once a date is confirmed, we set you up with a unique Calendly sign-up link for your property, along with printable flyers and a QR code your tenants or employees can use to book their own 15-minute appointment. Digital, animated versions of the flyers are also available if your building has lobby screens.
We recommend opening sign-ups at least two weeks before the clinic date, which gives everyone time to grab a slot before they fill up. A reminder a few days beforehand also helps fill any that are left.
NEMO's mechanics arrive by cargo bike rather than van, so clinics are sustainable and easy to fit into a lobby, plaza, or other compact outdoor or indoor space.

Roadside Assistance
Flats happen. Chains slip. That's why we also partner with NEMO to offer free, on-demand roadside bike assistance for our members, so a small mechanical issue doesn't have to derail your ride home.
Who is eligible?
Any employee or tenant of a participating Allston-Brighton TMA or Allston Brighton TMA member company.
