The Allston Brighton TMA Consolidated Shuttle is a free weekday service connecting affiliates of the Overlook at St. Gabriel’s and Brighton Landing (WGBH and the businesses of 20 Guest Street) to the Commuter Rail at Boston Landing and the Red Line at Harvard Square. The shuttle also serves key destinations along the route including Harvard Business School and the Science and Engineering Center on Western Ave. To board the shuttle, riders are encouraged to view the schedule and reserve a ticket.

Please note that the shuttle does not run on the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day (January)
  • President’s Day (February)
  • Memorial Day (July)
  • Independence Day (July)
  • Labor Day (September)
  • Thanksgiving Day (November)
  • Day after Thanksgiving (November)
  • Christmas Day (December)

Note that if a holiday falls on a Saturday it will be observed on the Friday before. If it falls on a Sunday, it will be observed on the Monday after.

Who is eligible?

Currently, participating members of the Consolidated Shuttle are the Overlook at St. Gabriel’s and Brighton Landing (WGBH and the businesses of 20 Guest Street). Affiliates of these organizations are encouraged to use the free shuttle for their weekday commutes as an alternative to driving.

How much is a ride? 

The consolidated shuttle service is free to affiliates of the Overlook at St. Gabriel’s, WGBH and the businesses of Brighton Landing at 20 Guest StTo reserve your seat, register for a ticket here.

How can I book a ticket? 

To reserve a ticket: 

  1. Go to abtma.mytrakk.com
  2. Select your route: AM or PM service and click “Next”
  3. Select details of your ticket by navigating to the calendar and selecting the preferred date. Afterwards, select the number of tickets and departure time, then click “Next”
  4. Provide your information and click “Review”.
  5. Confirm your ticketing and personal information and click “Submit Order”.

Where does the shuttle stop? 

The shuttle makes connections to the Overlook at St. Gabriel’s, Boston Landing Commuter Rail Station, Harvard Business School, the Science and Engineering Center on Western Ave, Harvard Square MBTA, WGBH and the businesses of Brighton Landing at 20 Guest St. View the full schedule and route here.

How can I board the shuttle? 

  1. Arrive at your selected stop a few minutes before the pick-up time. 
  2. When the shuttle arrives, prepare to have your ticket open on your mobile device and ready to be scanned. 
  3. The driver will use a mobile device to scan your pass. 
  4. Once scanning is successfully completed, you will receive a notification on your device.

How can I access my ticket? 

Access your ticket by: 

  1. Opening your email or texts, based on the information you provided in the initial ticketing process. 
  2. Add your ticket to your phone’s wallet: 
    • iOS: Download the ticket by clicking the “Add to Apple Wallet” button 
    • Android: Download the Wallet Passes.io app from the Play Store and download the ticket 
  3. Bookmark the checkout page 

What should I do if I can’t make my ride? 

Please be courteous and be sure to make reservation changes or cancellations at least two hours before your scheduled trip time. Failure to cancel a reservation that is no longer needed could disrupt access for others. Riders who repeatedly miss their trips could face restriction from the shuttle service. 

For step-by-step instructions to cancel your ticket: 

  1. Access your reservation through your notification email or text by clicking “Access Reservation” 
  2. Select “Reservation” 
  3. Click the red X box to cancel your reservation 
  4. Confirm your cancellation 

When does the shuttle run? 

The shuttle operates on weekdays with morning and afternoon routes. Morning service starts at 6:50 AM and ends at 9:40 AM. Afternoon service starts at 4:21 PM and ends at 7:25 PM. During operating hours, you can follow the shuttle’s location through our online tracker here.

What does the shuttle look like? 

The shuttle is a green and teal 14-seat van with branding from the Overlook at St. Gabriel’s.

Are bikes allowed on the shuttle? 

The shuttle is currently unable to accommodate bikes on board. If you have any issues with your commute, please reach out to the TMA team at TMA@abettercity.org.
